Before you send
One message box, not eight fields. Put these six things in it.
What to put in the message
The mark itself, exactly as you use it.
Its registration number and the jurisdiction it is registered in. If the mark is unregistered, say so and set out the basis for the claim instead — where and since when you have used it in trade, and the reputation you rely on.
The goods or services the registration covers. A mark registered for cosmetics rarely reaches a developer tool.
Where the infringing use appears: the exact URL, and where on the page — the app name, a logo, the domain, body copy, an app icon, a store listing.
How it is being used, and why that is likely to confuse people about who is behind it. A similar name in an unrelated field usually is not infringement, and saying only "this is my trademark" is not a complaint we can act on.
Your relationship to the mark holder: you are the owner, in-house counsel, outside counsel, or an authorised agent. Name the holder either way.
If it is a published mobile app
An app name or icon that infringes is usually a store-listing problem, and the store’s own trademark channel may also be required. Apps built on Vibely ship to the App Store and Google Play under the customer’s own developer account, so we can remove the project and the hosted build but we cannot pull their store listing.
File with Apple and with Google as well as here. Tell us in the message that you have, and give us the app’s bundle id or store URL if you have it.
