Trademark complaint
Use this form if an app, project, or account hosted on Vibely uses your trademark in a way that is likely to confuse people about its source. We confirm receipt within 1 business day and decide within 10 business days. For copyright — someone’s code, text, images, or design copied rather than their brand — use /dmca instead.
This complaint is not confidential
If we act on it, we send the complaint in full — including your name, your email address, and the mark and registration you rely on — to the person who published the material. They cannot answer a complaint they are not allowed to read, and they have a right to answer it.
This is the opposite of the general abuse report at /abuse/report, where you can ask us to withhold your identity. We cannot do that here. If you do not want to be named, do not send this form — write to [email protected] first and we will tell you what we can and cannot do.
What to put in the message
- 1.The mark itself, exactly as you use it.
- 2.Its registration number and the jurisdiction it is registered in. If the mark is unregistered, say so and set out the basis for the claim instead — where and since when you have used it in trade, and the reputation you rely on.
- 3.The goods or services the registration covers. A mark registered for cosmetics rarely reaches a developer tool.
- 4.Where the infringing use appears: the exact URL, and where on the page — the app name, a logo, the domain, body copy, an app icon, a store listing.
- 5.How it is being used, and why that is likely to confuse people about who is behind it. A similar name in an unrelated field usually is not infringement, and saying only "this is my trademark" is not a complaint we can act on.
- 6.Your relationship to the mark holder: you are the owner, in-house counsel, outside counsel, or an authorised agent. Name the holder either way.
